Rita Williams’ design firm, Merchandising Plus teamed up with their outstanding builder clients and associates to win five awards during the Laurel Awards.
Williams was thrilled for her team and credits the success to the hard work of the entire team including builders, superintendents, architects, marketing and sales specialists, suppliers and her multi-tasked creative design staff.
“We are honored to be a part of this great building industry and help build the American Dream,” said Williams. “We work with builders who care so much about the homes they build and it makes us so proud to be the finishing touch of what they build.”
It was an exciting night for the ladies of Merchandising Plus including Williams, Terry Duguid, Lisa Gielincki, Kate Schmidt, Sharon Blank and Dana Agar.
“We were honored to be one of the big winners of the night by unmasking the beauty of some magnificent projects,” said Williams.
Merchandising Plus was honored with two awards for The Fairway I Showhome at Hickory Village in Fernandina, built by Ron Coppenbarger Standard Pacific Homes.
The Lakeview Condominium at Cordova in the historic St. Augustine by Curt Farber and Farber Family Investments, Ltd. was also honored.
But the accolades for Merchandising Plus didn’t stop there. They also took awards for Best Brochure and Best Ad and Marketing Campaign. The Laurel awards come after tremendous success at the state level for interior merchandising.
Rita Williams Merchandising Plus captured seven prestigious state EXCEL Awards and eight regional AURORA Awards during the 2005 Southeast Building Conference in Orlando sponsored by the Florida Home Builders Association.
Williams was inducted into the Florida Housing Hall of Fame in 2003. She is a veteran Northeast Florida interior merchandiser. She is a member of the NEFBA Board of Directors, FHBA and the National Association of Home Builders.
